A Monday afternoon fire damaged the home of Cornerstone Christian School head football, basketball and baseball coach Tim Smith.

According to Smith, his family was able to save only what they were able to pull from the house.

He said the blaze started in the bathroom but did not know the cause.

Smith said his wife Angie, who was home at the time, called 911.

Responding to the fire were Columbiana, Wilsonville, Four Mile and Kingdom Fire Departments.

Johnny Howard of the Columbiana Fire Department said he believed the home and contents were a total loss.

There was smoke damage throughout although the fire had been contained to the attic, bathroom and northwest side of the house
