Ronald Linn Andrews, 43, of Birmingham died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005. He was born April 22, 1962, in Shelby County.

Graveside service will be today, Aug. 17 at 2 p.m. at Old Chapel Cemetery.

EDNA IRENE DUNCAN

Lunchroom supervisor

Edna Irene Duncan, 91, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005. She was born May 4, 1914, in Opp and had been a member of the Camp Branch United Methodist Church since 1947. She was the lunchroom supervisor at Thompson Middle School. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orascus and Zilphia Irene Sasser; her sisters, Myrtice Mae Short and Lois Sasser; her husbands, Woodrow Grimes, Herman Hamm and Leonard Duncan; and a half-sister, Virginia.

She is survived by her son, Wayne Grimes; two daughters, Joyce Burgess and Bonita Norman; her half-sisters, Navajo and Annette; her half-brother, Bobby; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Aug. 15 from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home in Columbiana. Service was Aug. 16 at 11 a.m. at Camp Branch United Methodist Church, the Rev. Neil G. Norman Jr. presiding. Burial followed at Currie-Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Hoover, Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home directing.

DAVID WAYNE FIELDS SR.

Harpersville resident

David Wayne Fields Sr., 49, of Harpersville died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005, at Brookwood Medical Center.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Fields of Harpersville; two sons, Bama (Cassie) Fields of Harpersville and David Fields Jr. of Harpersville; his mother, Tommie Lou Fields of Harpersville; brothers and sisters, James Fields of Trussville, Brenda Wallace of Vincent, Nancy Sherrill of Vincent, J.D. Fields of Harpersville and Frank (Cookie) Fields of Westover.

Service was Aug. 12 at 11 a.m. at Living Waters Ministry Church in Chelsea, the Rev. Don Brown and James Fields presiding. Burial followed in Harpersville Cemetery, Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel directing.

Pallbearers were John Fields, Jake Fields, Josh Fields, Bull Fields, Erron Fields, Danel Wallace and Kyle Sherrill.

LILLIAN ‘PAULINE’ HARLESS

Alabaster resident

Lillian ‘Pauline’ Harless, 94, of Alabaster died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005, in Alabaster. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Pearl Simmons; her husband, Elwood Harless; and her daughter, Peggy Partridge.

She is survived by four daughters, Martha (J.D.) Davis, Ann Morris, Jean (James) Partridge and Paula (Rick) Barrier; two sons, Richard (Joan) Harless and Ronnie (Janet) Harless; 21 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

Service was Aug. 16 at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church (Cumberland) of Alabaster, the Rev. Mark Davenport presiding. Burial followed in Harless Cemetery, Rockco’s Funeral Home directing.

EDGAR LAWRENCE ‘PAWPAW’ ISRAEL

Birmingham resident

Edgar Lawrence &uot;Pawpaw&uot; Israel, 96, of Birmingham died Monday, Aug. 8, 2005, at home with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Duncan Israel.

He is survived by his son, Edwin L. Israel of North Carolina; his daughters, June (Burt) Farrar and Mary Hayes, both of Louisiana, Becky Belcher of Birmingham and Sherry (Kenny) Rush of Columbiana; his sister, Mattie Rush Singleton of Virginia; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Service was Aug. 10 at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Columbiana, John Duke of Baptist Church of the Covenant presiding and Charter Funeral Home directing. Graveside service was held in Sturgis, Miss.

Eddie Muchowski, 65, of Alabaster died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2005. Service was Aug. 16 at 6 p.m. at Charter Funeral Home.

MAXINE K. ROBINSON

Columbiana resident

Maxine K. Robinson, 54, of Columbiana died Monday, Aug. 8, 2005. She was born Nov. 27, 1950, in El Paso, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Joel Robinson; her children, Karen Summers and Katie Summers; her father, Edward Adams; her brother, Mac J. Casner; and a host of uncles, aunts and other family members.

Service was Aug. 11 at 2 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Chapel, the Rev. Tom Fant presiding. Burial followed in Columbiana City Cemetery, Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home directing.

Calera resident

Johnny Eugene Thornburg Sr., 76, of Calera died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2005. He was born Dec. 19, 1928, in Shelby.

He is survived by a son, John (Erica) Thornburg of Calera; and a grandson, Tyler Thornburg.

Graveside service was Aug. 11 at Shelby Memory Gardens, Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home directing.
