William &110;Bill&uot; Lee Britnell, 39, of Clanton died Monday, Sept. 12, 2005.

Service was Sept. 17 at noon at 708 Lay Dam Road in Clanton, pastor Travis Bussey and the Rev. David Detor presiding.

James Stanley Hoggle, 47, of Pelham died Sept. 8, 2005. He graduated from Berry High School and was a member of Baptist faith. He was employed by AmeriSource for more than 25 years. He was a proud member o the NRA and is remembered by friends and family as a gentle giant of a man.

He is survived by his parents, Stanley and Frances Hoggle of Hoover; his brother, Jeff (Tina) Hoggle; a sister, Lee Anne (Cory) Jackson of Mountain Brook; and nieces and nephews, Lani Hoggle, Carlee Hoggle, Cory Jackson III and Will Jackson.

Service was Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel on Highway 150 in Hoover, Dr. Dennis Foust presiding and directing. Burial was Jefferson Memorial Gardens South, Currie-Jefferson directing. The family requests memorial donations be sent to the Shelby County Humane Society or to Shades Crest Baptist Church Building Fund.

Maggie Latimer, 85, of Helena died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, in Alabaster. She was a member of Riverchase Church of Christ.

She is survived by three stepdaughters, Edna Wade of Helena and Diane Beasley and Daisy Moon, both of Shelby; two sisters, Judy (Jimmy) Robinson of Florida and Phyllis (Billy) Harris of Helena; and a host of nieces and nephews and many good friends at Maplewood Lane in Helena.

Service was Sept. 20 at 11 a.m. at Rockco’s Funeral Home Chapel in Montevallo, Dewayne Spivey presiding. Burial followed at Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera, Rockco’s directing.

Ray McCay, 57, of Calera died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War where he served his country proudly with the 82nd Airborne Infantry in 1968-69. He was a dedicated employee for Alabama Power Company for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Gennett McCay; his daughter, Kim McCay; his mother, Rosemary McCay; a sister, Brenda (Steve) McClain; and a nephew, Phillip McClain.

Service was Sept. 7 at 2 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home on Highway 150 in Hoover, Pastor Jason Adkins presiding. Burial followed in Jefferson Memorial Gardens South, Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing.

Gordon Patrick McDaniel Jr., 62, of Robertsdale, Ala., died Sept. 3, 2005. He was a native of Keystone, Ala., and worked as an electrician.

He is survived by two sons, Gordon Patrick McDaniel III of Robertsdale and Justin Patrick McDaniel of Clinton, Ala.; four daughters, Cindy Mims of Maplesville, Ala., Sheri Denk of Robertsdale, Ala., Teri Gary of Hurley, Miss., and Tasha Graham of Moss Point, Miss.; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside service was Sept. 24 at 11 a.m. at Elliottsville Cemetery, Gilmers Funeral Home directing.

Thelma Raye Murray, 73, of Dallas Selfville died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005, at Medical Center East. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Murray. She was a retired office manager in marketing and was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, where she served as secretary and treasurer. She was also secretary and treasurer of Dallas Selfville Volunteer Fire & Rescue and worked with the Birmingham Convention Center.

She is survived by her sons, Greg Massey and John Murray; her daughter, Teresa Broadhead; her grandchildren, Ashton, Allison, Kris and Preston Broadhead, Nicholas Massey, Elizabeth Murray, Melissa McEwen and Kari Slack; her great-grandchildren, Madison McEwen and Reese Broadhead; and her sisters, Faye Neely and Margaret Thomas.

Service was Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. at Lemley Chapel in Oneonta, Brother Hugh Thomas presiding. Burial followed in Bethlehem Cemetery, Lemley Chapel directing.

Sue Geraldine Murrell, 75, of Harpersville died Sept. 17, 2005.

She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Robinson; her son, Larry (Lynn) Reynolds; her sister, Agnes Reynolds; her brother, James &110;Jim&uot; (Jean) Sams; five grandchildren, Tracey (Phillip) Douglas, Amberia (Ray) Isbell, Bradford Hughes, Adriane Johnson and Jessica Robinson; three grandchildren, DeWayne Douglas, Grant Douglas and Elora Isbell; and one nephew, Randy (Shelia) Reynolds.

Graveside service was Sept. 18 at 4 p.m. at Harpersville City Cemetery, the Revs. Steve Thomas and Harlan Harris presiding.

Christine &110;Ginger&uot; Apker Rollf, 63, of Calera died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, in Cape Canaveral, Fla. She was born Sept. 8, 1942, in Sacramento, Calif.

Service will be Sept. 22 at 2 p.m., pastor Gary Voyles presiding.

Charles Eason &110;Bud&uot; Smith, 68, of Pelham died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, in a local hospital.

Graveside service was Sept. 14 at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery, the Rev. Brad Henderson presiding.

Helena Dolores Fancher Stinson, 73, of Wilsonville died Sept. 18, 2005, at a local care facility. She was born May 19, 1932, in Wilsonville, where she was a longtime resident, a member of the Fourmile Baptist Church and a retired postal worker.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Farmer of Wilsonville; her brother, Clyde C. Fancher Jr. of Overton, Nev.; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Service was Sept. 20 at 10 a.m. at Bolton-Letlow Chapel with burial following in Fourmile Cemetery, Bolton-Letlow directing
