Williams gets first speedway win

You could not have asked for a more perfect night for racing. It was cool, clear and a full moon was hanging right over Shelby County Speedway.

Heath Williams in his #82 was an excited young man after the Pure Pony feature Saturday night. He took his first win at Shelby County Speedway over a huge field of Pony cars, beating some of the best in this area. Taking the second position was the #9 of Matt Swartz and in the third position was the #19 of Allan Hulsey.

The Road Hogg division saw the #33 of Bobby Butler in victory lane with the #70 of Frank Johnson coming in second and the #1 of Jeremy Wells taking third. Robert Lucas led the Hobby feature from green flag to checker flag taking yet another win. The #8 of Gary Ingram crossed for second and the #07 of Chris Revis crossed for third. In the Pure Stock feature the #11 of Wayne Spradlin and the #00 of David Davis battled it out the entire race for that first position. Winning that battle was the #11 Spradlin, Davis in the #00 settled for the second position. The #2 of Yancy Cook took third.

The Thunder and Lightning feature was won by the #33 of Charles Davenport and taking time off from fishing, was the #77 of Willis Scurlock taking the second position. Seeing victory lane Saturday night for the second week in a row was the #12 of Mike Taylor in the Limited Late Model division.

The #72 of Toney Revis took another win in the Crate Motor division.
