Gordon Overton, 75, of Sterrett died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2005, at home.

He was born Sept. 27, 1930, in Coal City, Ala. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Overton.

He is survived by a daughter, Carol (Kelley) Pardue of Westover; four sons, Johnny (Teresa) Overton of Alabaster, Ricky (Janet) Overton of Sterrett, Ladon (Patsey) Overton of Sterrett and Darrell Overton of Sterrett; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Service was Nov. 28 at 2 p.m. at Brashers Chapel Church with burial following in Pleasant Site Baptist Church Cemetery, Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home directing
