James Hatcher, 66, of Shelby died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 26, 1939, in Helena. He graduated from Hueytown High School in 1958. He was preceded in death by parents, Luther and Wilma Hatcher, and a brother, Floyd Hatcher.

He is survived by his sons, Alan and Brian Hatcher; four grandchildren; his brother, Eugene Hatcher; and three sisters, Naomi McKinney, Barbara Wortham and Joyce Kerr.

Service was Dec. 18 at 2 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Chapel with burial following in Columbiana City Cemetery, Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home directing
