Thompson High School forced 33 turnovers in the girls final of the Shelby County Tournament Friday, edging Calera 47-45.

Chasity Herron and Rhonda Watts each had nine points to lead the Lady Warriors (13-1) and tournament-MVP Tamara Williams added eight.

The Eagles (10-4) were led by Shanavia Dowdell with 15 points and Sherianne Allen with 11.
