Willie M. Stracner, 92, of Sterrett died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, at home. He was born Sept. 13, 1913, in Sterrett. He was a member of Davis Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and worked for Caldwell Mill Foundry for 27 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received a Purple Heart for being wounded during service.

He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Sims; his grandchildren, Mark Stracner, Matthew James Sims, Amanda Sims, Angela Davis Walker and Merideth Messer Isbell; several great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Bramlett.

Visitation was 6 p.m. on Dec. 23 at Bolton-Letlow Chapel with private burial on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Beulah Cemetery
