School board members receive honors

Two Shelby County School Board members were among 271 statewide who were honored on Dec. 9 for their achievements in the Alabama Association of School Board&8217;s School Board Member Academy.

Anne Glass and Dr. David Nichols of Shelby County were among 30 current and former school board members from central Alabama who were recognized at the ASSCB annual convention.

The Alabama Association of School Boards represents all of the state&8217;s local school boards.

Headquartered in Montgomery, AASB provides members with a wide array of services including boardmanship-training seminars, risk-management programs and policy research
