AHSAA BOYS

Oak Mountain 42, Hoover 32: Braynt Gardner led the way for the Eagles with eight points, helping Oak Mountain to a 7-0 record in Class 6A, Region 6 play.

Montevallo 56, Chelsea 54 (2 OT): Dejaun Fulgham hit a three-pointer with six seconds left to go to give the Montevallo Bulldogs a double-overtime victory over Chelsea Tuesday night.

Alex Gaddis led the way for the Bulldogs with 15 points while Chelsea’s Joe Wells had 18 for the Hornets in the loss.

Mountain Brook 54, Thompson 39: Laderreous Kelley scored 10 points for the Warriors as Thompson fell to the Spartans, 54-39 Tuesday night.

Spain Park 61, Pelham 47: Chris Pits led Spain Park with 15 points while Robert Hatcher was the top scorer for Pelham with 29.

AHSAA GIRLS

Briarwood 51, Vestavia Hills JV 40: Andee Matthews scored 18 points for the Lady Lions as Briarwood head coach Jim Brown moved within one game of the 300-win milestone.

Hoover 63, Oak Mountain 19: The Hoover Bucs used relentless pressure Tuesday night to soundly defeat the Oak Mountain Lady Eagles, 63-19. Kate Jazinski was the lead score for OMHS with six points.

Spain Park 62, Pelham 43: The Lady Jags used 32 turnovers against Pelham to win 62-43. Tiffany Thomas and Tiaren Young each scored 12 points for the Spain Park while Caty Murphy led the way for Pelham with 15 points.

AISA BOYS

Jefferson Christian 73, Kingwood 69: Jefferson Christian handed the Kingwood Lions their first loss of the season Tuesday night, 73-69. Jefferson outscored the Lions 25-7 in the third quarter for the win. Kingwood was led in scoring by Cody Owens, who finished with 33 points.

AISA GIRLS

Jefferson Christian 36, Kingwood 27: Hannah Phillips led the Lady Lions with 17 points Tuesday night, but it wasn’t enough to top Jefferson Christian as the Lady Lions fell, 36-27.

Shelby Academy 46, Central Christian 27: Kimbrell Lee scored 23 points for Shelby Academy as the Lady Raiders defeated CCS, 46-27
