The fifth annual Alabaster Arbor Day celebration will be Saturday, Feb. 25 from 9 a.m. to noon at Buck Creek Park.

The event is sponsored by the Alabaster Beautification Board.

About 250 trees will be given away to businesses and residents for planting.

The trees are about three feet tall and include red maples, crepe myrtles, weeping willows and tulip trees.

Because of the limited number of trees available, distribution will be limited to one per family or business.

Light refreshments (coffee, hot chocolate, soft drinks, cookies) will be served throughout the morning.
