Bobby Lee Harris, 68, of Brantleyville, Ala., died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at a local hospital.

He was born in Alabama on Monday, July 5, 1937, to James Westley Harris and Alva Holsomback Harris. He had retired from the lime plant where he had operated heavy equipment. He had a great love for nature and his cabin on the Cahaba River allowed him to fish, hunt and enjoy the nature all around him.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ann Harris; his daughters, Anita Roper of Brantleyville, Ala., Lisa (Michael) Bailey of Alabaster and Pam (Jimmy) Roberts of Brantleyville, Ala.; his sister, Janice Davis; his brother, Jimmy Don (Betty) Davis, all of Brantleyville, Ala.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Service was Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. at Charter Funeral Home with burial following in Macedonia Cemetery, Brother George Golden presiding and Charter directing
