Thurman E. Newman, 74, of Wilsonville died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at home. He was born Feb. 15, 1931, in Shelby County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Larkin and Selvia Mae Newman; his grandson, Dustin Newman; and his brothers, Frank Newman and Ellie Newman.

He is survived by his wife, Millie Newman; his sons, Terry (Norma) Newman and Keith (Kimberly) Newman; his daughters, Tammy Newman (Sam) Williamson and Pam Newman (Mike) Farris; grandchildren, Brian (April) Newman, Adam (Jessica) Newman, Dallas Newman, Brad Farris and Audrey Farris; great-grandchildren, Chase Newman and Wyatt Newman; sisters, Evelyn (Roy) Stevens, Ruth Wade, Lavelle (Jimmy) Brannon, Ann Huff and Mary Fuller; and a brother, James Newman.

Service was Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. at Bolton-Letlow Chapel with burial following in Wilsonville City Cemetery, Bolton-Letlow directing
