Josephine Drake Woodall, 87, died March 20, 2006. She was a longtime resident of Tarrant City and owner of Jo&8217;s Beauty Shop, a former member of Boyles Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and served as church hostess. She was currently residing in Shelby, where she was an active member of the community and of Bay Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Relynda Taylor.

She is survived by her son, William E. (Jean) Silvers; her brother, C.R. &8220;Pete&8221; (Betty) Smith; three granddaughters, Vicki (Tim) Arnt, Teri (Dennis) Easterwood and Patti (Pat) Winsor; four grandsons, Mark E. (Rachel) Silvers, Richard (Peggy) Taylor, Ronald (Lauren) Taylor and Jesse Silvers; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

Service was March 23 at 2 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with burial following at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Jefferson Memorial directing
