Helena sees rash of construction-site thefts

A rash of thefts have put a damper on construction in Helena this month.
Beginning on April 3, four robberies have occurred at various construction sites, resulting in property damages and loss of equipment valued at approximately $12,000.
Local authorities say they have not found any pattern to the crimes.
&8220;We&8217;re looking into it, but we don&8217;t have any good leads,&8221; said Sgt. Brad Flynn of the Helena Police Department.
Richardson Construction has been victimized twice at the First Baptist Church of Helena construction-site, across the street from Helena City Hall. Among the items stolen were a portable generator and a mortar mixer.
&8220;(The thefts) caused no delays, just a little inconvenience,&8221; said Lindsay Handley, Richardson&8217;s on-site superintendent.
Handley went on to say that the robberies have prompted Richardson to change its site security
