The Special Education Department of Shelby County High School recently held mock job interviews for students to help them prepare to get jobs.

The mock interviews were held at the Shelby County Instructional Services Center in Alabaster last Thursday under the direction of Marla Aldrich, special education coordinator for Shelby County schools.

Overseeing the interviews were Job Coach Cindy Vinson and retired school teacher Becky Goggins.

Vinson said

mock interview participants included Steve Callahan of Edgar&8217;s Bakery, Barry Graves of Victory Pontiac, Julie Gray of The Body Shop, Kelli Gray of HealthSouth, Blair Holden of the Hoover Met (Baron&8217;s Baseball), Marie Kersey of HealthSouth, Gary Lovelady of the YMCA, Linda Major, Kelly March of Enterprise Car Rental, Lt. Harold Mitchell, public relations with the Alabaster Fire Department, Keith Richards of Taziki&8217;s Greek Fare, Devon Walsh of Fox 6 News, Cindy Warner, Public Relations Supervisor for Shelby County Schools and Jonathan Windham of Cahaba Valley Medical Center and Central Alabama Community College.

Food was provided by Taziki&8217;s Greek Fare and Edgar&8217;s Bakery and Triple G. Electric provided decorations
