Creativity at Cornerstone

Cornerstone Christian School&8217;s elementary students presented their spring program recently.
Students in K3 through third grades dressed as crocodiles, lions, monkeys, elephants and giraffes.
They performed several songs from &8220;The Lion King&8221; musical series.
Jon Connor Davis, a CCS second grader, played the part of Simba.
High school students also participated in supporting roles with Lauren Skelton as Zazu, Ashley Watkins as Timon, Jeremy Goff as Pumbaa and Channing Blackman as soloist.
&8220;It was great to see the high school students getting involved with the younger students,&8221; said Laurie Porter, headmaster.
&8220;That made the evening quite special.&8221;
Prizes were awarded for Most Creative Costume with first place going to second grader Jessica Ferguson, second place going to 5-year-old Wendt Griffin and third place going to 3-year-old Macy Adams.
The Best Dressed Class award went to the third graders who dressed as giraffes.
Cornerstone&8217;s music teacher Joy Griffin was pleased with the program.
