Graveside service for Helen Pauline Pennington, age 89, of Columbiana, was at 10:30 AM, Monday, July 10, 2006 at Elmwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Pennington, who passed away on Friday, July 7, 2006, at her daughter&8217;s home, was born on August 6, 1916 in Margaret, AL. She moved from Birmingham to Columbiana 12 years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband,

Hershel &8220;Snake&8221; and two sons,

Ronnie and Buddy;

She is survived by daughter, Barbara (Ronnie) Whitehead; six grandchildren, Leo (Sue) Tidwell of Marietta, GA, Deborah (Skippy) Culpepper of Shelby, Marie Pennington and Lee Pennington both of Columbiana; Shelia (Garrett) Herringdon of Maylene, and Gail (Brett) Shaddix of Moody; and eleven great-grandchildren.
