Funeral service for Anita Embry, age 82, of Vincent, was at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Vincent United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Hollis and Rev. Warren Wilder officiating.

Burial followed in Macedonia North Cemetery.

Visitation was be held one hour prior to the service at Vincent United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Embry, who passed away on Monday, July 24, 2006, at a local hospital, was born on October 22, 1923 in Perry, OK.

Mrs. Embry was a founding teacher at Coosa Valley Academy.

She was a tremendous Christian, pillar of Vincent United Methodist Church and Lay Leader. She is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, Sim C. Embry, Jr.

The last 5 years she was very active in church ministry to feed the poor.

She is survived by her children; Suzette Embry, Dick Van Embry; grandsons, Eric Embry, Richard Embry; sister, Alma (David) Altom; brother and sister-in-law, A.G. & Tini Embry and numerous nieces and nephews.
