Funeral service for Bobbie Reynolds, age 75, of Vincent, was at 3 p.m., Thursday, July 27, 2006 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. S.L.
Williamson officiating.
Burial followed in Vincent Revival Center Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Reynolds went peacefully to her heavenly home on Tuesday, July 25, 2006 after a lengthy illness of heart and lung disease. Bobbie Reynolds was a loving mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Clovenski &8220;Sam&8221; Reynolds; her fathers and mother, Johnie Ingram, Tom W. Blankenship and Stella Ingram Blankenship and a brother, Rudolph Ingram.
Bobbie served as Shelby County Tax Assessor from 1977 – 1985 and again from 1991 until her retirement in 2003 completing 20 years of faithful service to her community.
During her retirement, Mrs. Reynolds worked closely with Harpersville Mayor (Reverend) Theoangelo Perkins and was instrumental in the formation of the Harpersville Public Library, which opened in May, 2005.
She was a member of Lighthouse Community Church in Harpersville, Alabama.
Mrs. Reynolds is survived by her three children, Kathy (Howard) McSpadden of Gardendale, Debbie (Philip) Shew of Vincent, Sam (Marsha) Reynolds of Vincent; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; sisters, Johnie Ingram Seale, Betty (Jeff) Rayfield; brother, Jerome (Sara) Blankenship; brothers-in-law, David Ray (Pat) Reynolds, A. Oliver (Carmela) Reynolds, Raymond (Mary Lee) Reynolds, Jimmy (Faye) Reynolds; sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Brasher, Judi Littlefield, Jean Reynolds and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of close friends.
Pall Bearers were Ben Shew, Trey Reynolds, Mike Mason, Tyler Rayfield, Rudy Ingram, Jeff Blankenship and Ken Blankenship.
