SPECIAL TO THE REPORTER

For two weeks this summer, the Vincent High School Science Club and JROTC toured the Wild West on a very educational and enlightening journey.

The trip, sponsored by Mary Anne and Gordon Engle, took students and chaperones through eight western states.

The breath-taking natural attractions of those states were experienced by students Olivia Bearden, Kayla Borden, Katelyn Brasher, Corey De Loach, Bailey Lee and Ben Senicz.

Students visited inspiring views of the Arches and Canyonlands National Parks of South Eastern Utah.

The Grand Canyon showed an array of gorgeous sights and memorable viewings of the California condor, which soared just feet above their heads.

The travelers also experienced the beautiful and amazing overlooks of Pike&8217;s Peak and the Rocky Mountain Chain.

A stop in a saloon which acted as the famous Judge Roy Bean&8217;s actual courtroom in the Wild Western desert of South West, Texas left them with an interesting look into Western style of justice. Chaperones and students participating in this intriguing adventure also spent two days in San Antonio, Texas, which included a brief stop at the Alamo.
