Alabaster on the right track with development

You can&8217;t help but admire the City of Alabaster for the development it has seen over the last few years.

With the announcement of a second hotel scheduled to open in the city late next year, and the potential for a third hotel to be announced in the near future, Alabaster is continuing to stay on the forefront of economic growth in the Greater Birmingham area. The two hotels that are currently being built behind the Colonial Promenade will bring an estimated half million dollars to the city in tax revenue.

Pair that with new commercial developments such as a new Target, JCPenney and Best Buy coming to town and you&8217;re looking at an extraordinary economic boon. The inclusion of hotels is a given when you&8217;re adding large amounts of commercial attractions, but Alabaster leaders are hoping more rooms to stay in means more opportunities to bring large sporting and entertainment events to the area.

Every municipality in Shelby County should admire the work Alabaster officials have done and continue to follow in their footsteps
