Clerk busted for theft of $3,200 at county service building

The Pelham Police issued an arrest warrant last week for a clerk at the Shelby County Services building who allegedly stole $3,200 from the office in Pelham.
Pelham Police Lieutenant Larry Palmer confirmed Friday that a warrant had been issued for county clerk Antonia Powell for felony theft of property.
&8220;Our office conducted an investigation into the thefts at the county services building,&8221; Palmer said. &8220;We determined that the thief was an interior employee.&8221;
