Kingwood Christian School&8217;s John Butts and Kaitlin Rozof have been honored with a nomination for the prestigious Wendy&8217;s High School Heisman Award.

The program, awarded in conjunction with the collegiate Heisman, celebrates the achievements of the nation&8217;s top high school seniors both in and out of the classroom.

Rozof and Butts were nominated for this award based on several accomplishments. Butts has a 3.98 grade point average, over 75 hours in community service, excellence on the football field, membership in Fellowship of Christian Athletes club, First Priority, Mu Alpha Theta and Senior Beta Club.

Rozof has a 3.80 grade point average, over 80 hours in community service, excellence on the basketball court and on the softball field, membership in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, First Priority, Mu Alpha Theta, Senior Beta Club and acting as treasurer for the senior class.

Created in 1994, the Wendy&8217;s High School Heisman program has been celebrating youth excellence for 13 years.

The program consists of five phase &045; nomination, state finalists, state winners, national finalists and national winners.

Final judging is during the Heisman weekend festivities during an all-expense paid trip to New York City on Dec. 8-10.

ESPN2 will feature all 12 National Finalists during the Wendy&8217;s High School Heisman Awards Ceremony that airs on Dec. 10.
