Pelham pounds Northridge

The 6A Pelham Panthers (2-1,2-0) have been in fine form since a season opening loss to Spain Park.

Friday night the Panthers whipped region opponent Northridge on the road 34-6 and will next travel to meet region foe Hueytown.

The Panthers never trailed at Northridge.

Quarterback Josh Thomason completed 21 of 24 passes for 157 yards and two touchdowns.

Talented senior running back Wes Holland had 18 carries for 89 yards and two touchdowns.

Isaac Bivins had seven receptions for 112 yards and a TD.

The Panthers put up 254 yards of total offense with 97 of those yards coming on the ground.

Pelham struck first on an 8-yard run by Holland. That was followed by a 1-yard TD run by Thomason.

Bivins got into the scoring act on the receiving end of 14-yard pass from Thomason.

And Holland capped the night with a 3-yard TD run
