Gas prices not as low as we think

Why is everyone so excited about gas prices going down?
With a 45 minute commute to and from work, I&8217;m all for less dollar signs at the pump. But isn&8217;t it disturbing that $2 a gallon is considered &8220;low&8221; in today&8217;s society?
It seems like only a year ago our jaws were dropping to the ground has we realized that fuel prices would soon be above two gallons – now we&8217;re excited when they stoop that low.
It&8217;s funny to think that we were all ready to boycott oil companies when prices were on the rise, but now we&8217;re lining up for our share of &8220;cheap&8221; gas.
Gas prices will likely stoop below $2 a gallon before the end of the year, experts say. But they also warn that the prices will likely go up again in the near future.
When we were warned last time that prices would go up, we saw stations raising their prices from the $1.60 range to $3.
Think about what that increase will look like this time around when the starting prices are averaging $2 a gallon.
You&8217;re looking at prices nearing $3.50.
It&8217;s great that we&8217;re getting a little relief from $3-a-gallon gas prices, but let&8217;s not jump the gun on getting excited about those same prices being so &8220;low.&8221;
It&8217;s only a matter of time before we start getting excited about $3 or $4 being the new low
