The First Baptist Church of Pelham has added a third morning worship service to their schedule beginning Oct. 1, 2006. The service will begin at 8:00 a.m. and will be called &8220;The Gospel Hour.&8221;

It will be completely traditional with hymns sung from the hymnal, an offering every service, gospel and spiritual special music and preaching from the King James Version of the Bible.

The church has also added a new Sunday school class will begin at 9:15 a.m. called &8220;The Gospel Hour Class&8221; for those who come to the 8:00 a.m. service and aren&8217;t already attending the 9:15 Sunday school.

The church also offers Sunday school at 8:00, 9:15, and 10:45 and blended worship services at 9:15 and 10:45.

The First Baptist Church of Pelham has a mission statement that defines its purpose: Making great Christians by making much of Jesus.

The church makes sure that everything it does is making disciples who will then in turn make more disciples. First Baptist&8217;s desire is to reach every man, woman, boy and girl with the Gospel message. The church is located at 2867 Pelham Parkway.
