Funeral service for Barry Dorough, age 44, of Madison, formerly of Shelby, was at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006 at Bolton-Letlow Chapel.

Burial followed at Pinelawn Gardens. Visitation was Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home.

Mr. Dorough, who passed away on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, was born on Jan. 2, 1962 in Jefferson County. He was a graduate of Shelby County High School and Auburn University with a degree in Computer Science and was employed by Northrop Grumman in the Huntsville Area. He was the grandson of the late Ed and Velma Benson and Jesse and Ada Dorough.

He is survived by his wife, Beth Dorough; son, David Jesse Dorough, 2 and a half years old; parents, Jesse and Betty Dorough; brother, Kevin Dorough; sister, Betsy (John) Sweatt; three nieces and two nephews and a host of family and friends.

Mr. Dorough was a devoted father and a truly good son.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shelby. He will be truly missed.
