ALL-COUNTY OFFENSE

QB: Josh Thomason, Sr., Pelham (6-1, 195). Passing: 248/342 for 2,828 yards, 29 TDs, 12 INTs.

RB: Davin Palmer, Jr., Chelsea (5-6, 170). Rushing: 1,780 yards, 26 TDs, 9.4 yards per carry.

RB: Phillip Evans, Montevallo (5-11, 185). Rushing: 1,835 yards, 23 TDs, 8.2 yards per carry.

ATH: Wes Holland, Sr., Pelham (5-11, 195). Rushing: 1,072 yards, 16 TDs, Receiving: 1,035 yards, 9 TDs.

WR:

Justin Diliberto, Sr., Spain Park (5-8, 155). Receiving: 1,051 yards, 8 TDs, 14.8 yards per catch.

WR: Cody Owens, Kingwood, Sr., (6-5, 170). Receiving: 85 catches for more than 1,400 yards, 24 TDs.

OL: Wes Nichols, Sr., Briarwood (6-2, 275). Two-year starter for the Lions anchored BCS line.

OL: D.J. Looney, Sr., Oak Mountain (6-1, 303). Mississippi State commitment, one of county’s top prospects.

OL: Parker Headley, Sr., Shelby Academy (6-1, 300). Shelby coach Dewayne Kervin calls Headley one of best he’s coached.

OL: Tyler Clark, Sr., Thompson (6-2, 270). Center paved way for Warriors’ potent option offense.

OL: Andrew Burns, Sr., Shelby County (6-4, 240). Big lineman was a force on offense and defense for Wildcats.

ALL-COUNTY DEFENSE

DL: Paul Bennett, Sr., Thompson (6-2, 240). 127 total tackles, 12 sacks, 33 tackles for loss, 7 FF.

DL: William Green, Jr., Spain Park (6-5, 205). Speedy end totaled more than 50 tackles and 8 sacks.

DL: David Strider, Jr., Chelsea (6-1, 245). One of county’s strongest players, great at stuffing the run.

DL: Daniel Forester, Jr., Briarwood (6-4, 254). Inside force constantly pushed pocket, stuffed the run.

LB: Richard Sutton, Sr., Shelby County (6-1, 185). 75 solo tackles, 25 assists, 3 sacks, 9 tackles for loss.

LB: Brandon Broadnax, Sr., Montevallo (5-10, 185). Led county with 150 total tackles.

LB: Chris Brice, Sr., Pelham (6-2, 205). Middle backer was stalwart of solid Panther defense.

DB: Daniel Penn, Sr., Oak Mountain (6-3, 187). Hard-hitting safety totaled 59 tackles, 3 interceptions.

DB: Brock Russell, Jr., Calera (6-0, 160). 7 interceptions, one interception returned for TD.

DB: Matthew Gordon, Jr., Briarwood (6-0, 180). 5 interceptions, good stopper in defensive backfield.

DB: David Lucas, Jr., Thompson (5-9, 170). 31 tackles, 6 interceptions, one interception returned for TD.

ALL-COUNTY SPECIAL TEAMS

K: Ben Phillips, Soph., Oak Mountain (5-9, 147). Converted 7 of 8 field goals with a long of 32 yards, made 21 of 23 PATs.

P: Ben Meadows, Spain Park (5-9, 180). Averaged nearly 35 yards per punt for Jaguars.
