The Spain Park Jaguars traveled to Clay-Chalkville Thursday night and came away with a win over the Cougars. The matches opened with Josh Lovelady of Clay-Chalkville getting a pin in the 112-pound category. John Alfano of Spain Park tied the score at 119-pounds with a pin, followed by Chris Bostany of the Jaguars also pinning his opponent at 125-pounds.

The Jags had to forfeit at 130-pounds and 135-pounds to hand Clay-Chalkville an 18-12 lead. Drew Upchurch got a technical fall at 140-pounds increasing the Cougar lead to 23-12. But Bo Bishop of Spain Park initiated the Jaguar comeback at 145-pounds with a pin followed by Clay-Chalkville&8217;s forfeit at 152-pounds. At 160-pounds, Jon Michael Lord of Spain Park earned a 6-2 decision and Clay-Chalkville forfeited 171-pounds. Nick Mullenix of Spain Park pinned his opponent at 189-pounds while the

two schools swapped forfeits at 215 and 285-pounds before Geoffrey Bostany finished the evening for the Jaguars with an 8-4 decision at 103-pounds.

Spain Park came away with the win 48-29. The Jaguars are in action next on Jan. 4 when they host Pell City.
