Montevallo High performs annual Christmas concert

Montevallo High School held its annual Christmas Concert on Dec. 14

at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.

The stage was decorated for the season with Christmas lights and poinsettias.

As spectators entered the PAC, they passed a large Christmas tree decorated with red bows which were purchased in honor of loved ones.

The first part of the program was a performance by the Montevallo High School Band under the direction of band director, Chris McMillan. Featured musicians were Emily Johnson, alto sax; Kayci Greer, piano; and Jack Kish, on the drums.

The second part of the program was a performance by the Montevallo High School Choral Department under the direction of choral director, Virginia Cook.

They performed several holiday selections including &8220;Carol of the Bells&8221; that featured hand bells. Following the performance, students and guests went caroling in the Montevallo community
