Funeral service for Steve Cook, age 35, of Los Angeles, Calif., was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 15, at Shelby Memory Gardens Chapel. Mr. Cook, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 4, was born on Aug. 21, 1971 in Illinois.

He was in the top 10 percent of his graduating class at Joilet Central High School. Steve ran cross country and track during high school. He served double mission for his church. He lived most of his life in Joilet, Ill., moving to L.A. three years ago.

He is preceded in death by both grandfathers, grandmothers and his father. He is survived by his mother, Jo Ann Cook of Columbiana; sister, Deanna Stephanie Spalding; brother, Joseph Earl Cook; grandmother, Mildred Hartkopf of Columbiana and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
