Funeral service for Perry Edwards, 76, of Shelby, will be at 10 AM, Saturday, Feb. 3 at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 2, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Mr. Edwards, who passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at a local hospital, was born on April 26, 1930 in Columbus, GA.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robin and Lena Edwards and a brother, Earl Edwards.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Wilma Jean Weldon Edwards; 5 sons, Perry, Jr., Thomas (Cliassa), Tim

(Kimberly), Neil (Libby), Michael, Sr. Edwards; 1 daughter, Laurie (Wayne) Etress; 14 grandchildren, Jennifer (Johnny), Chris (Neeley), Tom (Becky), Raven (Greg), Ashton, Daniel, Morgan, Elizabeth, Jake, Michael, Jr. (Julie), Alana, Hannah, Cynthia and Grace; 4 great grandchildren, Logan, Luke, Colton, Ethan Edwards; brothers, Robin (Doris), Charles (Orvetta) Edwards; sister, Jo Ellen (Joe) LaCasse; sisters-in-law, Rosalie Hume and Carolyn Edwards and a host of other family and friends.
