Howard Beard, 72, of Pelham died Monday, Feb. 5 at home. He was buried Thursday, Feb. 8 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Era Cemetery. Mr. Beard was born on Oct. 14, 1927 in Millport, AL. He is preceded in death by a son, Jim Beard. He is survived by his wife, Cecilia A. Beard; children, Betty Coburger, Karen, Calvin, James, Junior and Terry Wayne Beard; step-children, Tim Strozier, Kerry Strozier, Lesia Isbell, Shawn Strozier; host of grand and great grandchildren; brothers, Bobby and Harwood; sisters, Mattie Mae Phillips, Jeanette Garcia and a host of family and friends
