Funeral service for Sidney Ray Madden, Sr., 65, of Sylacauga, was held Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 2 p.m. at North Shelby Baptist Church with Pastor Allen Murphy officiating.

Burial followed at Williams Cemetery in Columbiana.

Visitation was Monday from 6-8 p.m. Mr. Madden, who passed away on Saturday, Feb. 10 at a Birmingham care facility, was born on March 12, 1941 in Portsmouth, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by a son, Sidney Ray Madden, Jr.

He is survived by his son Gordon Madden; three grandchildren, Lacey, Angel, and Sidney Madden III and their grandmother, Sandy Madden; and three brothers, Warren Madden, Jim Madden, and Bill Roberts
