Billy H. Wood, 71, of Columbiana and formerly of Gadsden, died Saturday, Feb. 17 after a lengthy illness. The funeral service will be Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 11 a.m. at Bolton-Letlow Chapel. Brother Archie Maddox will officiate. Wood will be buried at Pinelawn Gardens.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Mr. Wood was born on April 15, 1935 in Etowah County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ottie Heaten Wood, brother, Paul Wood, nephew, Michael Gerrard and a great nephew, Robert Wayne Cash.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patricia Carden Wood; son, Eric Dakota Wood; sister, Sue (Charles) Gerrard; sister-in-law, Jimmie Wood and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home is directing
