For ladies who lunch, The Red Geranium in Pelham is the place for you. With its French cafe d/cor and friendly services, it is a perfect place to sit and gab with friends. Its owners, Pam Carroll and Patsy Tidwell, say they want people not only to eat great food, but to also have a great experience.

ATMOSPHERE

As you enter the caf/, a large wooden statue of a French chef, affectionately named &8220;Newman,&8221; will greet you. The two-room dining facility is colorful, with red walls and French style decorations.

Some of the tables, although inside, are covered by umbrellas.

&8220;People hurry to get an umbrella table,&8221; said Carroll.

After only being open four months, the cafe had to expand to a second room. Despite the additions you better hurry, say owners, because sometimes lines are

out the door and in the street.

MENU

Soup and sandwiches are their specialty.

&8220;It is very &8216;fru&8217; &8216;fru&8217;,&8221; said Tidwell, adding that many women&8217;s groups have found it a &8220;delightful&8221; place to meet.

&8220;A lot of red hats come in … but we are getting more male customers.&8221;

The dinner menu offers a variety of favorite entr/es, including prime rib steak and other specialty meals that are more appealing to the testosterone bearing gender.

&8220;It&8217;s really good,&8221; said frequent customer Renee Pitts.

Whether man or woman, the Red Geranium is sure be a great place to eat.

SERVICE

For the owners and employees the quality of the time had while eating is just as important as the meal being eaten. Service is friendly and inviting.

Chef Coy Ancelet says he makes a point to try to visit every table and sometimes serves food.

&8220;What we offer is the personal touch,&8221; said Ancelet, restaurant chef. &8220;Come in and have a good experience.&8221;
