Subdivision comes to Inverness area

A new planned community is soon to take the place of one of the last large undeveloped parcels of land in the Inverness area of Hoover.

Signature Homes is working with Moser Design Group out of South Carolina to turn 45 acres off of U.S. Highway 280 and Valleydale Road into homes, offices and retail stores.

&8220;Research shows there is a good demand for housing in that area,&8221; said Barry DeLozier, marketing director for Signature Homes.

DeLozier said 30 acres of the development would include homes for single families including 77 single-family homes and 34 town homes.

The single-family homes will cost in the upper $300,000 range with lot selection available in April.

The development will also contain spaces for offices and retail along Inverness Valley and Valleydale Road.
