FROM STAFF REPORTS

Child abuse charges filed against a Helena mother have been dropped, nearly half a year after a 22-month-old girl was treated at a local hospital for multiple skull fractures.

Prosecutors dropped the case against 25-year-old Sandra Thomas after she passed a polygraph exam, according to assistant district attorney Angela Dunn.

Thomas and boyfriend Christopher Campbell, 24, were arrested shortly after taking the young child to Children&8217;s Hospital on July 31.

Although charges against Thomas were dropped, Campbell has not been cleared in the case, Dunn said
