Amy Hope Washington, 31, of Shelby, died Tuesday, March 13 in Birmingham. Amy was a graduate of The University of Alabama and McWhorter School of Pharmacy at Samford University. Amy was the PIC at CVS Pharmacy in Montevallo and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pelham. Amy was a talented pianist, but her greatest accomplishment was being a loving mother. Amy was preceded in death by her son, Anderson Ross Washington. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Washington; son, Austin Lawrence Washington; parents, Calvin and Glenda Hope; brother, Jody (Kellie) Hope; and niece Hayden Hope. Visitation was held Thursday, March 15 from 5-8 p.m. at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. The funeral service was held Friday, March 16 at 2 p.m. at The First Baptist Church in Pelham. The internment followed at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
