Ellis Bentley, 85, of Columbiana, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at a local nursing home. The funeral service was held Saturday, March 24 at 10 a.m. at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home. Visitation was held Friday, March 23 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Bentley was born on Aug. 3, 1921 in Columbiana.

Mr. Bentley was a homebuilder in the Shelby County area and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lallage Bentley. He is survived by his children; Jerry L. Bentley, Tony R. Bentley, Bobby N. Bentley, Linda Culbert, Betty Petway, Judy DeShazo; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home directed
