Nova Isbell

Nova Isbell, 88, of Calera, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at a local hospital. The funeral service was held Friday, March 23 at 11 a.m. at Calera Baptist Church. The Rev. Harold Warren presided. She was buried at Cullman City Cemetery.

Visitation was held Thursday, March 22 from 6-8 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Isbell, our beloved Mother and Nana, was born on November 15, 1918 in Athens.

She attended Calera Baptist Church.

Isbell was an avid bridge player, golf player and an Alabama football fan. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. &8220;Red&8221; Isbell and a son, Paul Isbell. She is survived by her daughter,

Sabra (James) Carden; stepdaughter, Wanza Franklin; grandchildren, Debbie (Richard) Ingram, Caryn (Jack) DeOliveira; Texas grandchildren, Donna, Barry, Mark; two great-grandchildren, Jake Ingram and Katie Ingram;

brothers, Bill (Julia) Putman, Ken Putman, Bea Giarratano and a host of other family and friends. The family will welcome flowers or donations in memory of Mrs. Isbell to the Calera Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 186, Calera, AL
