&8220;Red&8221; Emery, 79 of Fort Payne passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2007. The funeral service was held Friday, April 20 at 2 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Chapel. The Rev. Harold Mitchell presided. Emery was buried at Elliottsville Cemetery.

Visitation was held Thursday, April 19 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Emery was born on Aug. 7, 1927, in Alabaster. He is survived by his children, Alice Dodd, Cathy Comeau; stepchildren, Pat, Maxine, Janiece, Ed; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Onzell Hughes, Edna Patterson and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
