Randall R. Williams, age 80, of Wilsonville, left this world and went to be with his Savior on May 6, 2007 after a brief illness. He was affectionately known as &8220;Dodaddy&8221; to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was retired from Vulcan Materials Co. where he was employed for 44 years. Randall was an Army veteran and a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Columbiana. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Vaught.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Martha J. Williams; a daughter, Linda E. Merrell (Charles) of Wilsonville; a son, Tom E. Williams of Trussville; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. For most of his life, Randall was active in church and community activities.

Visitation was held from 6-8: p.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home in Columbiana. Funeral services will be at 11 am, Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Bethel Baptist Church, Columbiana.
