Louise Carpenter, 96, of Wilsonville formerly of Birmingham, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2007.

The funeral service will be Saturday, May 26 at 11 a.m. at Wilsonville Baptist Church. The Rev. Steve Thomas presided. She will be buried at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, May 26 from 10 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. Carpenter was born on April 14, 1911. She retired from UAB Hospital. Carpenter was a member of Wilsonville Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Havron Carpenter. She is survived by daughters, Glenda Mace, Nancy (Gerald) Calma; grandchildren, Perri (Thomas) Gordon, Bill (Cecilia) Mace, Nan Hopkins, Matt (Tina) Calma, Chris Calma, Jeff Calma; 13 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends
