Stephanie Matt will be a busy woman this week.

Matt works as a human resources team leader for Target Corporation and will help coordinate a hiring blitz Thursday through Saturday in Alabaster.

The company needs more than 200 employees to staff their new store, set to open July 29 in Colonial Promenade South.

&8220;We&8217;re looking for people for virtually every position,&8221; said Matt.

To find so many people in such a short time, Target will have a three-day &8220;mass hiring&8221; at their temporary office next to AmStar Cinema from Thursday, May 31 through Saturday, June 2. Applications will be taken and interviews conducted each day starting at 9 a.m.

&8220;When you come in, you know that day if you&8217;re getting a job,&8221; said Matt.

She advises applicants to come out early to increase the chances of getting hired.

&8220;The earlier the better,&8221; she said. &8220;Once we&8217;ve met our desired need, we&8217;re done.&8221;

Other businesses that will open this summer in Colonial Promenade South include Best Buy, a J.C. Penny department store and Pet Smart.
