NORTH SHELBY &8212; Two north Shelby County companies were among 11 in Alabama named to Engineering News-Record&8217;s 2007 Top 400 Contractors list. The trade publication&8217;s annual report ranks companies by their construction revenue from the previous year. M.J. Harris Inc., located on Riverchase Ridge, came in at No. 362 with revenues of $170 million. The company moved up from its ranking of No. 386 in the 2006 list. Sliding in near the end, Gary C. Wyatt General Contactor on Southlake Parkway ranked No. 386. Reporting 2006 revenues of $150 million, the company dropped 15 spots from its position last year. Alabama&8217;s highest ranking company was No. 28 Brasfield

& Gorrie, based out of Birmingham, whose revenues soared at $1.9 billion.

A San Francisco contractor, Bechtel, topped Engineering News-Record&8217;s list for the ninth consecutive year with $20.5 billion in revenue last year.
