Gardner, Douglas Andrew &8220;Doug&8221;, 47 of Pelham, Al, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 as a result of an accident at his residence in Pelham. Doug was born on April 25, 1960 in Arlington, Virginia to Wilbur Lewis Gardner, Jr. and Elizabeth Ann Haislip. Doug was the owner of Gardner Masonry Co. in Pelham.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Marie &8220;Joy&8221; Brasher Gardner of Pelham; children, Faith Madison Gardner of Pelham, Lindsey Paige (Forrest) Swaffield of Daphne, Tommy Lee Gardner (Fiance, Morgan) of Mountain Brook; Brian Andrew (Jenny) Gardner of Maylene; parents, Elizabeth &8220;Betty&8221; Gardner of

Birmingham; Wilbur &8220;Lewis&8221; (Patti) Gardner, Jr. of Dataw Island, South Carolina; sisters, Susan Cline of Fairhope; Winnifred (Terry) Carlisle of Slapout; brother, John (Alicia) Gardner of Shalimar, FL.; mother-in-law, Jewel Marie Seales Brasher of Pelham; brother-in-law, Norman Michael &8220;Mike&8221; Brasher of Pelham and one niece and five nephews.

The family received friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, June 1, 2007 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home.

The funeral service was held June 2, 2007 at the chapel of Southern Heritage. Burial took place in Pelham City Cemetery. The Rev. Ron Schultz and Rev. Terry Carlisle officiated.
