Winfred Bernard Lenn

Funeral service for Winfred Bernard Lenn, 89, was held Sunday, June 10 at 2 p.m. at First Assembly of God in Sylacauga with the Rev. Steve Lambert and the Rev. Charles Lenn officiating.

Burial was held in Greenhill Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Lenn passed away Thursday, June 7, 2007 at his residence.

Mr. Lenn was presently a member of First Assembly of God in Sylacauga and was founding Pastor of New Life Assembly of God in Pell City. He was pastor at Clanton First Assembly of God, Wildwood Chapel in Columbiana, Radiant Life Assembly of God in Childersburg and was an ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God.

He served in World War II as a B-29 Bomber Pilot serving from 1941-1946.

He retired from the Air Force Reserve as a helicopter pilot.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Lenn of Harpersville; sons, John Winfred Lenn of Harpersville and Charles David Lenn of Tuscaloosa; daughters, Brenda Joyce Holcombe of Columbiana, Georganna Ritch of Vincent, Ruth Ellen Lambert of Clearwater, FL, and Becky Irene Salsman of Evergreen; sister, Dorothy Irene Lenn Kruse of Evansville, IN; seventeen grandchildren, and twenty-two great grandchildren.

Visitation was held Saturday, June 9 from 5-8 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel.

Pallbearers were Darrel Holcombe, Darian Holcombe, John Eric Lenn, Jason Lenn, Steven Lambert and Taylor Lambert. Honorary Pallbearers were Andrew Cooper, Patrick Wade and Nicholas Holcombe
