Funeral services for Mary McDaniel, age 82, of Vincent, were held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 15, 2007, at Bolton-Letlow Chapel with the Rev. Greg Brock and the Rev. Joseph Hotchkiss officiating. Burial followed in Cahaba Heights Baptist Cemetery.

Visitation was Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home.

Mrs. McDaniel, who passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2007, was born on Jan. 25, 1925 in Birmingham.

She is preceded in death by her parents, King and Geneva Pearson; daughter, Ann Walser; son, Forrest Newman; sister, Anne Layne; and a grandson, Forrest Newman.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry McDaniel; son, King (Dianne) Newman; step-daughters, Linda (Larry) Perryman; Pam (Joseph) Hotchkiss; Shelia Thompson; Vickie (Bob) Degginger; Geri (Jerald) Horton; step-son, Joe (Melissa) McDaniel; 24 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Gladys Elmore and Faye Taylor; and a host of family and friends
